Terms and Definitions

= shorten term for submissive.
= Generic term for Dominate or a Partner that plays the Dominate role in a scene without psychological exchange of Dominance and submission.
= Generic term for submissive or a play partner that takes the submissive role without psychological exchange of Dominance and submission.
= Smart As*ed Masochist
= Challenging submissive.
= Someone that interacts in a scene with you, usually on a regular basis.

= The boundaries of BDSM activities set by both the Dominate and submissive during negotiation defining what each is willing and unwilling to do within a scene. Limits may apply to roles, levels of dominance and submission, duration of time, to exchanges of S/m activities.
= A word, a phrase, or an action used by the submissive as a signal to stop the scene or reduce the intensity.
= A safety precaution used by players that are new to one another. For example; a submissive, playing with a dominant for the first time, might arrange for a friend to be near a telephone at a prearranged time. If the submissive does not call at the time, the friend will be alerted that something has gone wrong and will take steps to see that the submissive is safe.
= The BDSM community and things associated with it or, an interaction of a Dominate and submissive at play.
